Neatest cookbook I've found for camping with Girl Scouts., November 10, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Gross Grub (Kidbacks) (Paperback)
A friend of mine let me borrow her cookbook. She has a Girl Scout troop also. We just went camping and what a why to celebrate Halloween! Just the names of the food are enough to gross everyone out--but if you don't think about the names the food is delicous!!!! I just had to get my own copy and now I have a Boy Scout leader hooked and she now has her own copy. Thanks for all the FUN!!!

Creepy Icky Slimy Oozy--Heaven for a seven year old., October 8, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Gross Grub (Kidbacks) (Paperback)
Having made some of these recipes with my nephew, I can recommend this to anyone with an hour to kill and a willing child. The minimal ingredient & utensil list make the recipes easy. The catchy names and vile descriptions necessitate fixin' up a batch of whatever sounds the grossest. The food is actually not that bad, and considering who will be on the guest list, could be haute cusine. Buy it, make the food, and above all, photograph your masterpieces. Emeril, did you start out this way?

Gross Grub perfect for Halloween Parties, August 20, 2005
This review is from: Gross Grub (Kidbacks) (Paperback)
I have been using recipes from Gross Grub for my annual Halloween Haunts for the past 13 years. The recipes are simple and use everyday ingredients so they taste great, but when paired with a name tent they deliver startiling results perfect for get togethers of the young and old.

Gross Grub is Great Grub!, September 5, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Gross Grub (Kidbacks) (Paperback)
I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food really was, especially the maggot stew. The youth group I made the food for met it with skepticism at first (the catbox casserole was avoided by a few) and then with enthusiasm. I highly reccomend this book.
