A good text to introduce groundwater hydraulics, March 25, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Ground-Water Hydrology and Hydraulics (Paperback)
This is a very good text to introduce groundwater hydraulics. The book start by the basic definitions, goes to Darcy's law and then guides the reader through the derivations of the different equations that govern the groundwater hydraulics. The book also provide very useful examples on how to apply these equations. The book is written in a tight readable style that makes it easy to follow both the logic and the math. I think that the strength of the book lies in its many clear and well presented examples which in conjuction with the many useful exercises it contains, makes it very useful to senior and graduate students. This book is NOT for those who are interested in the practice of groundwater, but rather the theory of groundwater hydraulics.
