When i bought these units i had some difficulties with two of three units.
It was completely my fault.
These are good units. They do what they say and are easy to configure.
I recommend them for any timed outlet needs.

I have two of these; I use them for turning my houselights and aquarium lights on and off so I fund it funny they're marketed as grow lights here, but yeah they'd do a good job of it. They have a built in battery backup that lasts almost a week (nice when the power goes out for a day or two) and two plugs. They are a hassle to program, but they come with instructions that aren't too badly written. I got mine on sale for I think six bucks each, but they're only ten dollars or so from harbor freight; i think most brick and mortar stores carry them, and they are available online here: [...]

The timer work well, but the directions and actual programming are not easy at all. There are much easier products that work just as well and are much easier to program.
Every time daylight savings changes, I'm on the verge of throwing this one out and buying another, but I always manage to figure out how to get it to do what I need it. (after about 30 minutes)
