I purchased this book to help assist in designing a support group in my local area. There are several easy group ideas to help get the group started, build rapport with and between the group members, as well as ideas for ending the group.

What a great resource! I wish I had had this when I was taking my group counseling class in my master's program!

GREAT RESOURCE BOOK,HAS WONDERFUL AND ENRICHING IDEAS THAT WOULD SUIT EVERYTHING FROM FAMILY THERAPY, EDUCATIONAL SETTINGS TO ADDICTION GROUP SESSIONS.

This book has a lot of group exercises, handouts, mini-lessons that can be used with training groups as well as therapy groups. You can also apply some of the TIPS to individual clients. This is a very "hands on" and practical guide to interactive and innovative ways to treat clients. It is very easy to follow and has provided great tools for life skills training and building self-confidence and self-esteem.

I have purchased quite a few group activity books for use for the groups that I run on a mental ward in Pa. This book is absolutely the best of the lot. Activities from other sourses are helpful in supplimenting the material in this manual, but that is seldom necessary. I'll be looking for the author's next volume.

This is an excellent book to use with groups. The ideas are fresh and easy to work with for small, medium or large groups.

103 Tips is a great resource for any type of group - whether it be therapy or training. There are many practical, fun exercises to promote life team building, social skills. There are many handouts for group participants to refer to, and lot of activities that promote growth. Very helpful!

This book is sold through our site by the author and we have been pleased that in 2 years not one has been resold (Date is 2/21/09)!That is why you will not find any used on this listing - at least as of this date 2/21/09. The feedback we have gotten has been tremendous from mental health professionals who need practical tips on treating their clients. People have written to say how much they have appreciated this book.

She has two of these on here and both are well written, easily organized, read and implemented. You wont' do a brain drain or make tons of copies for handouts with this book. Really good exercises for quick and efficient teaching.

A truly clear and precise tool for helping with therapy and counseling. I highly recommend this creative book by this very professional author.

The book is very good, but I would have appreciated an easier way of reviewing before purchasing that way I would have been able to see in advance if the activities would have been good for addiction groups.
