My children LOVE this book. The colorful collages really draw the eye in, and they work very well with the text. My older son received Grow Grow Grow as a gift when he was just over 2, and has been quoting it from day one-- "I have to GROW!!!" This book is wonderful for kids and adults alike.

Grow Grow Grow is Jaenet Guggenheim's impressively paper collage illustrated presentation of an original poem by Barbara Riley. Through the seasons of a single year this story-poem follows a growing sunflower seed that meets the world of caterpillars, dogs, and weather with a compelling determination to grow. This artful and unique picturebook is especially recommended for preschool through kindergarteners and would make an ideal choice for bedtime bonding reading for parents and children.

My 2 1/2 year old will make me read this book over and over. Each time we read it she notices something new in the illustrations. She loves the worms that squiggle around the seed as the sunflower grows.

The papers in the collage art come from all around the world! As a thank you, half of Jaenet's royalties are going to UNICEF.
Each collage took at leat a week of full work to make and is rich in color and detail -- of life in a garden.

I really enjoyed the illustration in this book. The color and presentation are wonderful. the poem is fun and easy to follow for the younger people.
