I wasn't expecting this book to ammount to this much, but it did suprise me quite a bit. As I read through I had found so many new methods that put one of the largest grins on my face ever. The high definition pictures (besides making you drool) gave me much insight as to what I can expect to procure. Even though this is labled as a beginners book, it will walk you through exactly what you need to do, and what you need to know. It felt like being showed how to do basic algebra, and before you know it, you've learned all that and you know some advanced physics. I would highly recommend this book to ANYONE who wishes to start growing the greatest of all plants.

Some of the other books consider themselves the grower's bible. This book doesn't make that claim, instead it's more of a How-To book that holds your hand through all the things you need to do in order to grow marijuana. From picking the room, buying the equipment, to the actual grow, it's mean to teach newbies all the basics, plus a few advanced techniques like SoG and ScrOG. The bibles are great if you just want to look up something, but if you want to actually learn from beginning to end how to grow and harvest, this is your book.

I think if the Dummies people made a book for growing marijuana, this would be it. I recommend this book because:

1. It's got pictures and illustrations on how to do everything from germinating seeds to cloning to harvesting.

2. It doesn't have a bunch of scientific charts and huge words, it's all easy to understand.

3. Fully covers new techniques like Sea of Green and Screen of Green.

4. Explains the safest way to get seeds and equipment.

5. Awesome pictures.

6. Covers everything from how marijuana grows, all the equipment needed to grow, every phase of growing, plus harvesting.

7. Important chapters on security and pests and disieses that helped me out a lot.

8. Again, very easy to read and understand. Got me excited to start growing.

I have some of the other books, but I'd definately start with this one just cause it's so easy to figure out.

I own all of the grow books from the last ten years and they're all pretty good. Some try to throw everything into a single book and some try to bring new growers up to speed without too much headache and hassle. This one is aimed for new growers.

Grow Great Marijuana seems written for new growers or people interested in growing indoors and it does a pretty good job of it. One of the other reviews mentions the For Dummies series of books and if this had the yellow cover, it *would* be a Dummies book.

If you are thinking about growing or you are new to growing or are serious about indoor hydroponics, this is the first book you should get.

I don't really need any more books on growing marijuana, but I always seem to buy them just to have a complete collection. I was really surprised when I cracked this one open because it's got to be the easiest cultivation book to read. I wish I had this fifteen years ago.

This is exactly the type of guide that I needed when starting out. Step-by-step instructions with good explanations that allowed me to become knowledgeable with all aspects of growing (super useful when talking to the grow shop guys).

Get this one and the Indoor/Outdoor Marijuna Horticulture book and you should all the information you need on how to choose you grow spot, buy equipment, and grow/harvest your buds. I can't stress how simple this book makes things seems compared to to others that make it seem like rocket science. It's just a plant, it shouldn't be hard to explain how to grow it, but somehow the older books made it seem complicated.

Start with Grow Great Marijuana, get your room together, then get Jorge Cervantes new book and enjoy your tasty nugs!

When I first started thinking about growing I bought a bunch of books, but Grow Great Marijuana is the one I actually followed from beginning to end.

It seems written and laid out in the same order as my learning curve, from how the plant grows to what equipment I needed and where to put it, to the phases of growth and finally, harvesting and curing.

I'm not sure if there is anything groundbreaking in the book, but I was just looking for some straight talk on how to get things going. It made growing seem as easy as it should be, ever for a stoner like me.

I normally don't write a review for "these types" of books for obvious reasons. But having said that, if you were to read only one book on the subject, this would be it. There are a few books that would be considered more specialized and go into more detail about individual subjects, but this one covers it all in enough detail that again, if you only read one book on the subject, this one is it. I think it was absolutely fantastic and I literally read every page.

If you're thinking about growing indoors, you absolutely need this book to learn about all of the ins and outs of selecting a grow space and making is secure so no one finds out about it. No other book covers security as well as this one and I think it's one of the most important aspects of being a cannabis cultivator.
