Product Description

The easy-to-use Siphon Mixer is a great way to apply concentrated water-soluble fertilizers, fungicides, and insecticides through a garden hose. The Siphon Mixer connects directly to a hose bib and the powerful vacuum action siphons distillates at a 1:16 gallon ratio. No-clog unit features a back-flow check valve and is fit for permanent installation. Gardeners should use the Siphon Mixer with a 1/2" hose no longer than 100 feet or a 5/8" hose no longer than 250 feet for best results. Please note that older homes without anti-siphon valves will require the installation of one in order for the Siphon Mixer to operate properly.

I purchased this to inject a soap solution into a cleaning system I made for my pool filters. Using 10 spray nozzles with 35-40PSI water pressure at a 16:1 ratio I emptied my soap reservoir in a eye blink !
After putting a 0.010 flow restriction pellet in the siphon hose the system has been working great.

this siphon mixer works really well. I fertilize my plants with it once a week and I love it. any one that needs a syphon mixer should give this one a try.

It would seem that it requires an uninhibited flow of water to work adequately. Thus it's OK for use with - and only with - a standard hosepipe. If you have it connected to a hose with sprinklers attached it simply will not work.

I got one of these, have tried using it with different water pressures, connections and hose lengths and barely pulled a pint of fertilizer in over an hour far from the 16:1 it is supposed to deliver. Also, needs a vacuum breaker connection to work properly though homes built after 1990 are required to have them I still needed to have it for it to work as poorly as it did. Going to do a diy with a pressure tank instead of these gimmicks.

I have used various syphon feeders for over 30 years, including brass models and this plastic one. Every one I've tried has the flow restriction issues, and this one is no different. However, this feeder is the least likely to clog, and the easiest to unclog if it does. For that reason it has become my favorite. The downside is that, being plastic, I've snapped a couple off at the juncture of the feeder line nipple and the main unit. I'm online today getting a replacement for just this reason. Still, considering the clogging issues with the various brass models, I'm still choosing this model.
