Kidd, a man who dedicated himself to nonviolence, civic involvement, exercising an individual's power to keep communities vibrant and healthy, and much, much more. Stressing the importance of voting, standing up to be counted, using personal influence and power to aid the development and applications of peaceable solutions to both local and global problems, Growing America is very highly recommended reading, especially for anyone involved or contemplating involvement as a social activist in the world today.
