I highly recommend this book to parents, teachers and children from 5th grade and up. Casey is in middle school and experiences real life middle school situations which can happen to any child. His relationship with his grandfather is heart warming, which helps children understand the importance of their grandparents. Casey learns that making choices is not always easy, but making the correct choices feels good. Not only is the story great, but the author provides Family and Teacher Discussion Topics and Family and Teacher Activities that can be used to reinforce the positive learned from reading the story. It's a great opportunity for families to get together and have some good wholesome fun while teaching children positive values.

In this adventure with Casey, we get to see him growing up, in middle school, learning more about the power of positive and negative words as well as further interactions with his grandfather. Casey develops his mind, friendships and learns about growing up both physically and emotionally.
