Seriously, we have had some major sleep issues in our house -- and if my son doesn't sleep, none of us sleep! The CD cover does state that there are supposed to be 36 songs, and there certainly are not 36 tracks, but it is more of a medley style with pieces woven into each other. I like it better this way as it seems to induce sleep easier than other lullaby CDs that have very distinct songs, track ending, then another song. This style is less distracting. I particularly like the instrumental version of "Sleep my child."

My child has been listening to this CD at bedtime for about a year now and it has become a real source of comfort -- lulling him to sleep more easily and with better dreams. We have even had fewer issues with night wakings. Beautiful and peaceful music. Highly recommended! I really don't know what I would do without it.

I purchased this CD when I was 5 months pregnant simply because everywhere I turned I read how important it was to listen to soothing music while pregnant. I can honestly say that it was the best musical purchase I've ever made. I listened to this CD throughout the rest of my pregancy, while in labor, through the delivery, and every day since. My 17 month old son goes to sleep to it every night. There is nothing more relaxing at the end of a hard day than this CD (or any of the other Growing Minds with Music CDs). I highly recommend it to all.

I play this CD for my six month old to lull her to sleep every night, and usually end up falling asleep before she does! This CD is great for bedtime, or any time you would just like to relax. I would recommend any of the CDs in the set to parents! I have the whole set of four, and still can't decide which is my favortie!

We had been given a Lullaby CD of music by a friend when our daughter was born, but it was terrible. The music was much too up tempo. I felt like it was winding up by daughter instead of settling her down. This CD on the other hand is perfect for bedtime. The music is soft and slow. Even I start to yawn when I it. True, there are only 11 tracks when 36 are listed, but aside from that the CD is worth the money. It goes with us everywhere.

This CD is part of his bedtime routine and he asks for his every night - "Turn moosic on, Mama." It is nice, soothing music that helps him nod off. We even take this CD on trips with us so he still has his same night-night music. ; )
We have a new baby now and I am ordering the same CD for her room! I highly recommend this CD for helping your child wind down for night time.

I had first thought that this CD only gives 11 songs but it is 36, but it's a disappoinment they way that they do it but combining like 3 songs into 5 minutes. My advice: save your money and purchase something that gives you the whole deal!

We bought this CD when I was pregnant with my now 4 year old daughter. She has listened to it every night for 4 years! If we travel and don't bring it with us, she doesn't sleep! Now after 4 years we are going to replace it because it will no longer play continuously on her CD player and we get woken up numerous times a night to turn it back on! If she wakes up and it's not playing she needs us to come in and turn it back on! It's a beautiful CD. My parents even love it! This will be the first time I've ever bought a second copy of the same CD due to overplaying it! Highly recommended!

The CD claims to give you 36 songs, when in actuality it only gives you 11 and doesn't even play the ones it suppose to! Even the songs that Amazon has for samples aren't the right ones. Maybe the other reviewers got the right CDs and I'm the only one with a defective one, but I'm highly upset!

I originally received this Traditional Lullabies CD as a gift when my daughter was born 13 years ago. How many times did I play this CD while nursing her in the rocking chair? Too many to count. I used the CD to soothe her at bedtime and naptime, as well. As she grew into a toddler, I played this CD for her at bedtime. I thought then and I still think now that the music is just so soothing, calming and well...lovely. When my 2nd child was born, this CD was reached for again for all those bedtimes and late night feedings in the rocking chair. Fast forward a few more years to my third child's arrival into this world and yes, you guessed it--this treasured lullaby CD became a staple yet again. My third child is now 5 and this is still the CD he prefers to listen to every night as he drifts off to sleep. Up until recently, I still had the original from 13 years ago when my daughter was born! However, the CD cracked during our recent move and would only play about half of the tracks. I was so happy to find it on Amazon and immediately ordered a replacement.

As far as others claiming that there are not 38 songs, but only 11--this is due to the fact that some tracks contain multiple lullabies. I rather like that because each song just naturally melts into the next song seamlessly without stops. It's really nice.

I highly recommend this CD. I've listened to it thousands of times and have yet to tire of it! It evokes some of the best memories and feelings I've had over the years with my babies!

I have loved this cd for 10 years when my son played it 24 hours a day for his first child. I have given it for gifts quite often. However this last order of 2 was disappointing as they were also for gifts and the celephane wrapping was too tight and one of the spines on the cd was completely broken off. I have asked it to be replaced but have not heard a word. thank you carol marcum
