2.40/80-Superb guitar song with awesome lyrics. One of LBC's best.10/10

3. LBC-My all time fave song. Great rap with an amazing chorus as well. 11/10 (yea thats right 11/10)

4. Masala-Jumpy poppy lyrics lead to the rocking chorus ... 10/10

5. King of Apathy- Slow and touching, but it doesnt last too long for you to dislike it. 6/10

6. Slow Down- Fast, and dance-worthy. Great 9/10

7. Arizona Stand- This is what music is supposed to be about. Perfection. 10/10

8. Child's Play- A rap song (not quite as good as LBC, but still sweet) that rocks. About selling out-a common Lucky Boys topic 10/10

9. First Encounter with the Devil- Not sure what this interlude is but i like the bass line. 5/10

10. Fred Astaire- Great. Glad to hear it get some radio play. 9/10

11. What Gets Me High- I like this song more and more as i listen to it more and more. Great MCing skills displayed here, too. 7/10

12. Gwendolyn...- Slow and melodic but very appealing. 8/10

13. Of Course- Very good rock song. 8/10

14. Back Then- The very first LBC song and one of the best. Great chorus. 10/10

15. Dumb Pop Song- Funny and poppy. Not a true LBC song in my oppinion, but i would love this by any other band so ill gove it an...9/10

16. Keep Talking- Cool chorus and lyrics

17. Deja Vous- I love this song. The guitar on the chorus kicks arse. 10/10

18. One to the Right- One of the best rock and roll songs ever. Just amazing. 10/10

19. Do You Miss Me?- I like the Throwing the Game version better cuz it has a diffent second verse but it sounds raw here and thats a good thing. 9/10

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome independent release, October 20, 2003
By
Anne (chicago, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Growing Out of It (Audio CD)
This is one of the best independently released CDs I have ever purchased. If you're a fan of almost any sort of music you will like this CD. There are elements of punk, pop, rap, rock, reggae, blues, and much more on this cd. A lot of these songs are also found on LBC's newer release "Throwing the Game" but the versions on this CD are demo versions and are a lot more raw and experimental.

THe songs are about everything from love, self reflection and doubt, drinking, partying, betrayl, and friendship. This isn't 18 track cd devoted to one theme... and it definately isn't emo.

Fair warning: there is a lot of swearing on this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not Growing Out Of it..., February 9, 2004

This, like their other CD, "Throwing The Game" offers so much variety. Theres a song on here for everyone and everything. Like it or not, one listen to this album and youll catch yourself singing one of the tunes soon after. Catchy lyrics, addicting beats and again, CAN NOT be compared to another artist or band.. Any kind of music you are into, You will love this.
