4.0 out of 5 stars OK, but
To begin with if you're unsure whether you should get this book, then just don't get it because you're unlikely to persist with the book or to have your mind in the idea state of mind for height increase if you're filled with doubts. Such attitude will just kill any progress you can make.

2.0 out of 5 stars let me save you 30 bucks
Secrets. Growing taller secrets. Want to hear the 'secrets'? Hang from a bar for 20 seconds. Thats the main "secret" to growing taller according to this book. Sure, there are other exercises listed in it - part of a secretive growing taller program. Such secretive exercies as "strech" and "jump". I swear to God. Those are the secrets. For only 30 dollars you too can learn...

To begin with if you're unsure whether you should get this book, then just don't get it because you're unlikely to persist with the book or to have your mind in the idea state of mind for height increase if you're filled with doubts. Such attitude will just kill any progress you can make.

The bulk of this 53-page book provides several stretching exercises accompanied by imagery, posture, a list of nutrients that may help in releasing the growth hormone, and the effect of fasting and sleep on growth. While the exercises and proper nutrition are certainly good for your health, it is unlikely that you will increase your height unless you engage the power of your imagination.

The author points out that "the most powerful way to grow is to believe you can do it", and this is absolutely true, yet he does not provide much information about this crucial element (that's why I gave it only four stars).

In 1960's, Dr. Milton Erickson, a well known and respected hypnotherapist helped a 20-year-old man to GROW 12 INCHES IN HEIGHT IN THE SPAN OF ONE YEAR - with hypnosis.

If you are already using Robert Grand's program, you can find out how to use hypnosis to accelerate your progress. You can pick any decent book on thorough mind-training.

1.0 out of 5 stars How great, NOT!!, May 29, 2004
By
zeac14 (earth, not dreamland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Growing Taller Secrets (Paperback)
I have used this book to help me gain 2 feet to my height, 100 pounds of lean muscle, changed my face to look as charming as any model. Too good to be true? Exactly... Anyone can write claims here. But so far we have seen no concrete evidence of any kind, just baseless claims. Do us a favour, at least use computer editing to create a 'decent' fake before after photo on your cover to make your book appear more convincing.
After going through forums and discussion sites on the net, I found that only people who were cheated are the ones helpful enough to talk to others, not those who claimed to have seen amazing results. So do you think they really exist?
The people who have more common sense have already said it: if this book can really do what it claims, why is it not mentioned by the media or anywhere? If, there really happens to be any useful information in the book, it would already have been the hot topics of discussion in forums all over the net.
At 5'3, I believe I am much shorter than most who want to buy this book. I totally understand why we hope to gain that few inches to our height, but do not let these baseless gimmicks cheat you of your money.
Waiting for someone to prove me wrong. Email zeac14@hotmail.com
Thanks.

1.0 out of 5 stars The worst book on height increase, April 9, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Growing Taller Secrets (Paperback)
I have not bought this book, but I have talked to literally hundreds of people on internet height forums who have, and not one of them increased their height a single inch. They were not only dissappointed, but angry, and felt that they were cheated out of their money. I don't know if it is all true or not, but this is the stuff I have heard. I would recommend visiting these height forums and chat rooms and asking people yourself. I don't think it is worth the risk for the hefty price Robert Grand is asking for this 50 page book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible.... I had absolutely no results from this book, June 30, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Growing Taller Secrets (Paperback)
i didn't grow 1 inch. Not even a half inch. The book looked like someone made it on the kitchen table. Advice was basically just common sense stuff. Eat right and exercise...blah de blah. Not worth the money. No way.

1.0 out of 5 stars Confusing really..., June 15, 2003
This review is from: Growing Taller Secrets (Paperback)
i'm 5'6"...average height and i'm 17...i have aspirations of becoming a model (and i can at this height, buh im juss not happy with it) but i have asked my doctors and several others if i could somehow increase growth, and their response was simple "no. growth is in the genetics of the family, and how you diet and exercise throughout your youth" and whatnot, and you stop growing at around 18 years of age.
i was on the brink of purchasing this book until i read the reviews. many people had questions and no one really answered them...people that apparently used this book had nothing to say...EXCEPT the people that have been on the site and decided to COPY and PASTE what was on it in the review pages. you can see for urself, go to robert grands website and see that their "success stories" are exactly word for word on these reviews. they're exactly the same.
and if it was such a success and you did apparently gain a few inches, how come this book isn't "popular"? many people want to grow taller and yet it took me a while to find this website and comments from ppl who have used it.
u can't force growth. i know people don't want to hear it, buh i faced it, all you need to do is take ur calcium supplements and exercise right. and if your over the age of 18 its pointless. be happy with your height!! at least everyone is healthy.
thankz.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm a living proof of what can be done with Robert's program, November 4, 2000
This review is from: Growing Taller Secrets (Paperback)
I'm 20 and stopped growing more then 2 years ago at 4'6". As a girl who was not married at that time (I'm married now) I started to worry about my height. On May 99 my friend bought me this book. I did not believe anything could be done with my height. I gave the book to my doctor friend and after careful read he told me to try the program, that it is safe and good for health regardless it will help me grow or not. Since then I'm following Robert's program 3-4 times a week, 60-90 minutes a day. I gained little more then 3 inches and my body became even more proportional than before. Believe me, with my height 3 inches difference is a lot and I feel so happy that I could do something such significant to myself. In my opinion the author does not have professional writing skills, but the book is well organized and is incredibly easy to read and follow the program.

5.0 out of 5 stars It was the best gift for me from my father!, November 5, 2001
This review is from: Growing Taller Secrets (Paperback)
I'm a 19 years old girl from LA. My father gave me this book for my birthday on April 2001. As a short girl I was very serious about getting little taller. I was following most of Robert's recommendations and until now, I gained 2 1/4 inches. I liked that when I had some questions (about chin-up exercises and some diet questions), Robert answered all my questions by email. I can also say that it was very easy for me to understand and follow the program. It was going very smooth for me. I even gave the book to my friend. She started the program 3 weeks ago and already saying she has some positive results. I believe, Robert's program may help many people, so I would recommend this book if you are serious about growing taller.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sceptical.., May 2, 2004
This review is from: Growing Taller Secrets (Paperback)
Firstly, where is the evidence that robert grand's exercises does in fact make one grow taller?
Secondly, where are all the positive reviews coming from?! Many are written in the same bad english, with vague claims of height increases. Some of them have simply PREPOSTEROUS claims of 6-7 inches in a year.
Thirdly, why are all the negative reviews being rated as unhelpful? And all the positive reviews being rated as very helpful. Obviously someone is manipulating the reviews and ratings here.

Mr. Grand, if that's his real name, is using the insecurity of short people and the anonymity of the internet to make money for himself. He's not even TRYING to help you. He's just out to take your money. Prove me wrong.

By A Customer
This review is from: Growing Taller Secrets (Paperback)
I'm 23 and stopped growing more then 3 years ago. I purchased this program on June 1999 and where amazed how easy it is to understand and follow. Since then I increased my height by 4 inches. My doctor couldn't believe his eyes that I have changed so much so fast. One year ago he told me I can not grow anymore. Thanks to the author Robert Grand.
