Listed as Very Good, since the shrinkwrap has a large tear on the right side and there are a couple of minor dents in the case. It is obvious this has never been opened. May have some light surface wear on the case itself where the shrinkwrap has torn. The case itself is in Very Good to Like New condition. The dvd inside should be new and intact.

Shannen Doherty plays Emma, a radio host at a Seattle based station. After receiving word that her grandfather has died, she drives the 3+ hours to get to the little community of Valleyville (pop. 800) where he had lived. She finds her grandpa's lawyer, a young man who has his office in the back of a store and whose main livelihood appears to be selling his own special blend of fertilizer (aka decomposed manure). He tells her that her grandfather and the community have already made all of the funeral arrangements.

But there is one thing her grandfather didn't take care of. He was deeply in debt and if the debt is not paid by the end of the year his farm would be repossessed and sold to developers. Her grandfather had trusted her not to let that happen. Now she needs to come up with $75,000 to prevent his farm from becoming part of the mayor's development plan.

In the meantime, things have been shaken up at the radio station with which she is employed and she has been reassigned to do a gardening show (about which she knows nothing), broadcast live from the farm she just inherited. Webcams are placed in the farmhouse and around the garden so listeners can even watch her broadcast, and her daily life.

Her neighbor is a scruffy looking mechanic who appears to repair everybody's vehicles, lawnmowers, appliances, etc., and half of his work seems scattered across his yard. His work is threatened by the coming of "Mighty Muffler," also part of the mayor's plan. He is trying to raise enough money to put his own shop on main street to keep up with the coming competition. (Though their relationship is fraught with mishaps, there is more to this guy than meets the eye, as she later learns.)

This is where the pumpkins come into the picture.

I am not sure whether to call this a Halloween, Thanksgiving or just fall holiday video. Any way and any when you view it, it is a good movie. Yes, it is a bit hoakey in places - and I like hoakey in my life. Shannon plays her part well. The humor in this move is likewise enjoyable. It is also a good movie for the entire family.

I'm a little biased sinceI wrote it. But when Amazon asked me to review it, I thought what the heck. :-) If you like Hallmark movies, it's a great one. The inspiration was my brother's obsession with giant pumpkin growing, which I always thought was kind of humorous. And the town Valleyville is a shout out to my home town and the nearby area my folks farm, Eatonville and Ohop Valley.

This is an entertaining, enjoyable movie about a idealistic town with nice people. There is real chemistry between the main actor and actress and the film has real charm. It is thoroughly charming and fun to watch. Shannen Doherty does a great job, she always gives such substance to whatever role she plays and Kavan Smith is an appealing hunk. This is a nice fun movie for the whole family (no violence or sexual scenes) and a great romantic date movie as well!

A single middle aged woman inherits a farm and decides to move to the beautiful countryside where it is located. She is a radio announcer that must balance her job in the city with running a farm. Fortunately her handsome neighbor is willing to help with the farm and her boss is interested in her rural life and allows her to do her broadcast from home. It turns out she not only inherited a farm but pumpkin seeds as well that may help her grow a prize pumpkin that can help get her farm out of debt. A good Hallmark family movie. If you enjoyed this, catch The Good Witch.

Wow, cannot believe that the reviews feel Shannen Doherty is middle aged. It used to be that you had to be in your 50's or 60's. In this day and age, nice to find a movie, you can just zone out and be distracted, even for a short time. Enjoyable.

Not wanting to be disrespectful, I had trouble grasping what was said about this movie by some. I saw the movie before I read the reviews, then watched it after I read them in light of everything that was said, and, to be fair, I loaned it out to others for their opinions... others who are very picky & extremely conservative with what they watch. None of us felt that this movie had sexual overtones, even covertly. Other than the obvious romance, we could find nothing of the sort but everyone has their own opinion. We found this movie delightfully fun. Another Hallmark treat.
