Wonderful resource for therapists and educators!,
This review is from: Growing Up with Autism: Working with School-Age Children and Adolescents (Hardcover)
This is a great resource that comprehensively covers emotional and behavioral issues; communication, language and sensory processing disorders; criminal involvement; even issues around sexuality. This is exactly what I need as a school social worker who encounters autism in my student population. The material is clear, practical and appropriate for work with K-12 age clients. I highly recommend this for any professional who works with children with autism spectrum disorders.

This review is from: Growing Up with Autism: Working with School-Age Children and Adolescents (Paperback)
You've read a ton of books on interventions and personal narrative while your child has been young, but now his or her body is changing. Maturation is inevitable and puberty is always a wild ride. Most pubescent children feel that they can't adequately convey the myriad of feelings that are spinning around inside of them, however throw severe difficulties with communication into the mix and some very challenging situations can arise. This collection of writings is a must-have for parents, teachers and therapists who are curious about how puberty will affect or is affecting the person that they know and care about.
