By Charlene K. Elwood (Florence, KY United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Growing Up Spiritually (Paperback)
What an eye opening experience. This book will show you different stages to maturity during your spiritual journey. You will see the three stages of spiritual maturity. You will find what areas you are strong in and what areas you need to seek God about. Then, Brother Hagin, shows how to make the changes, step by step, to becoming a spirtitually mature Christian. If you are looking for a way to improve and mature this book will help you and will teach you in a very simple, loving way.

Where are you in your spiritual growth?,
By
This review is from: Growing Up Spiritually (Paperback)
There are 5 parts to this book, each helping us understand a specific area of our spiritual growth. The following are the parts and chapters of the book.
Part I 1. Locating Yourself 2. Babyhood - Innocence, Ignorance, Irritability 3. Childhood - Unsteadiness, Curiosity, Talkativeness 4. Manhood - Esteeming Earthly Things Lightyly, Deadness to Censure or Praise, Ability to Recognize God at Work Part II 5. Walking With Your Father - Getting Acquainted Through the Word, Experiencing Acquaintance 6. Walking in Love - "Loves" Contrasted: Divine - Natural Human, An Expose' on Love Part III 7. Receiving the Knowledge - The Wrong Diet, The Place of Right Teaching Part IV 8. What Manner Of Man Are You? 9. The Natural Man - Knowledge Contrasted: Revelation - Natural Human, The Natural Walk 10. The Carnal Man - Walks as "Mere Man", Growing Out of Carnality 11. The Spiritual Man - Knowing the Father, Knowing the Son, Knowing the Holy Ghost Part V 12. The Right Diet - Fruit of the Human Spirit, Renewing the Mind 13. A Word of Encouragement This book is by no means exhaustive or complete in the topic of spiritual growth, but what Hagin does well is to help relate spiritual growth to what we can easily understand, e.g. the characteristics to a natural babyhood in relation to spiritual babes, and also he shares his vast experiences as a minister and how some Christians just do not want to grow. Some of his testimonies will hit home as you read it.

Must read!!!,
This review is from: Growing Up Spiritually (Paperback)
This is one of the greatest Christian books of all time. Brother Hagin points out in detail the differences in the growth and development of the Spirit man and how to achieve the next level. This book was a pleasant surprise for me since Brother Hagin is so well known in the "Word of Faith" circles. However, this book really shows the fundamentals of the Christian walk and explains how Brother Hagin got to be the great man of faith that he was.

WOW, this book is so very on point with how my walk as a Christian is, was and most likely will be. I thank God for the messages backed up with scripture and simply put for any Christian in any position in their walk with Christ. I highly recommend this book for any Christian but especially a new born in Christ... Amazing food for your spirit

This book is great, and is even better when you fast before reading it. I passed it one of my Soldier and she passed it to someone else, and its circulating our whole camp.
I would buy another book from this author. The author explains the contents of this book in very understandable terms, even my 8 year daughter can read it with ease. I grew up spiritually after reading this book, and I thank God someone recommend it to me. |
