5.0 out of 5 stars Quick and to the point reference, September 30, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Growing & Using Basil: Storey's Country Wisdom Bulletin A-119 (Storey Country Wisdom Bulletin) (Paperback)
This wisdom bulletin contains ideas for starting basil from seed, companion planting, how much basil you should plant, the various types and varieties of basil (don't look for an all-encompassing list, but about 10 or so different varieties are discussed). Pesto, vinegars and even mayonnaise are offered as recipes. Have you ever tried cinnamon basil custard, lemon basil tea bread or rice or marinade? There are a couple recipes for fish using anise basil. The source for plants and seeds list offers several really great companies if they aren't on your gardening list yet.
