This review is from: Growing Great Vegetables in the Heartland (Paperback)
What makes this gardening book stand out is the author's writing style that reads as if she is in the room talking to you. Although I have dozens of gardening books, "Growing Great Vegetable in the Heartland" would rate in my Top Three. Not only for the content of topics, but also her easy to read delivery, the many additional hint's, ideas and beautiful pictures. Well worth the cover price, my gardening friends will be getting this from me for Christmas!

A "must read" if you garden in the heartland,
By Brian Walker (Kingfisher Oklahoma) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Growing Great Vegetables in the Heartland (Paperback)
If you garden in the heartland, this book should be your gardening bible. Ms. Chandler provides tons of information dealing with growing conditions specific to this area, that you won't find in most books. Trust me, this type of knowledge is something that is only gained by years of experience. If you want to save yourself from all the trouble of gardening by trial and error, this book is the answer to your prayers. One of the most comprehensive guides you'll ever find. Enjoy!
