I started a cactus garden here in eastern KY a couple of years ago after someone gave me a opuntia. This cactus has thrived. I ordered the book last fall. I now have several varieties, many were just planted outside, and the choices of cactus were much determined by the info in this book. Being a novice, I needed help in choosing cactus that might survive in our wet winter and wet spring. Will let you know next year if I chose wisely
