About the Author
William Carroll, Ph. D. is a retired professor of English who spent more than three decades teaching people about other writers' poetry. In his sixties, he proceeded to make himself a target for critics by writing enough poems to fill a small book, which he published in 2003. Bill's love of gardening began when he was growing up on a farm in rural Virginia. Despite having since resided in cities for several decades, he still derives pleasure and comfort from digging in the soil and helping bring plants to fruition.
