I don't really like writing reviews for things. Because, really, I'm not some word genius or anything. I'll go ahead and say, I'd never heard of these guys before the sale on this album (It is $5 at the time of this writing). I decided to give it a sample and loved it enough to purchase it. It's a really fun CD overall. Nothing too super dark about any of their songs. It has a great care-free vibe to it. Catchy lyrics and riffs are abound. They use a really cool instrumentation a lot of the time too. Utilizing xylophones/bells/etc... I highly recommend it.

Bishop Allen back again with more catchy pop music... these guys are great. Summer is here! Grab this one (especially now while it's $5!) and check out their other stuff too (like The Broken String). This is music that will make you happy.Favorite tracks for me might be (1) Dimmer, (5) Oklahoma, (7) True or False, (10) Don't Hide Away... but really the whole album is good. Bishop Allen are immediately likable; just solid, happy music -- you won't be disappointed.

An alright CD, but I would have to 100% recomend their other album theBroken String over this one. So many of the songs on this CD are bland and forgettable, especially compared with The Broken String. That being said, these songs are still better than a lot of what's currently mainstream. If you've never listened to Bishop Allen however, I wholeheartedly recomend their other album first.
