warmest thoughts,
By A Customer
This review is from: Grub, the Bush Baby (Hardcover)
my thoughts of this wonderful warm story is that what a incrediably woman Jane must be. We had this book as children and was the one that was favoured by all in our family. Its is a story of feeling and close bond of her and her family. To put yourself and family out with nature and the wild bush must be invigourating. I am only sorry that my children have never felt what her son did. It is a story of great respect and courage, I congratulate you Jane.

This is the very best book for showing -- beyond telling -- a child how to live lightly on the earth. From being jealous of Grub, for the way he lives on safari, my children figured out ways to live close to "nature" in the city.

I've long wanted this book, and it did not disappoint. It's a photo-documentation of the young childhood of Jane Goodall & Hugo van Lawick's son, "Grub," who lived with them in these early years in the "wilds of Africa" while his parents did their research on chimpanzees. Lovely & moving for anyone who loves animals, children, or Africa.
