This is a cute, family friendly game. You start off with a handful of characters that all wash up on shore on the island you select. You can set priorities for individual tribe members, such as gathering food, construction, or science. You can also designate building to be constructed. Creating new characters is accomplished by clicking one tribe member onto an adult tribe member of the opposite sex, and then you have a small infant running around the island. Each character has his or her own strengths. This is a casual, fun game. Since the game is in real time, your people will age and continue to work, even you are not playing the game. If you enjoy Tycoon games, you will probably like this game as well.

I've been playing for about a month, and one day I opened the game and couldn't change players. When I hit the change user button, the game crashed. I searched online for a solution, only to find that MANY people had this same problem/complaint...and there were no solutions posted that I could find. I emailed Grubby Games customer support two days ago, but I've rec'd no reply.

However, up until this problem, it was a cute little game. It doesn't take up much time in a sitting, since you only need to check up on your tribe every once in awhile...not too much action besides that. If you like instant gratification and fast-paced games, this one isn't for you. If you like long-term projects and don't want to consume too much time playing each time you check in, then you'll probably enjoy My Tribe.

One other technical problem, which is annoying but not crippling, is that the game automatically changes the resolution settings on your display and doesn't return them back to normal after you shut it off. It's slightly irritating when desktop items will be rearranged and you'll have to visit the control panel to re-adjust your resolution, each time you exit the game.

My Tribe is a very fun game for the small price. It is easy to play and the gameplay is enjoyable and addicting. If you've ever played Virtual Villagers, My Tribe is very similar, but a little more advanced. It introduces new features that you can customize the game with.

The premise of the game is a tribe of people washes up on a little island, and you have to help them build shelter, obtain food, and survive. The game begins by letting you choose your island from millions of islands, choosing one you like. You must give the tribespeople jobs (i.e. catching fish, farming, constructing buildings, researching, harvesting wood or rocks).

Now here's a really cool feature completely unique to My Tribe - you can make magic potions! To do this, you mix ingredients you can find on the island. They do many different things, so you can try out many possibilities.

There are also three mysteries on the island - each island has a certain combination of the seven mysteries - and you can solve them. When you do, you might just get a cool surprise!

Also, your tribe ages even while you're not playing. Leave the game for a few hours - come back, and you may find things very different from the way you left them! It's always fun to come back and see how your tribe is faring.

My Tribe is very fun, and worth the price. It will keep you amused and excited for hours.

After becoming addicted to MyTribe on Facebook, but getting frustrated by the "friend" requirements for growth, I decided to purchase the game for my PC.

It's a very fun game and I prefer it to the Facebook version. After playing it almost non-stop for about a week, I found that there wasn't much left to do and I couldn't keep enough rejuvination potion to keep my tribespeople from dying off and stopped. I have had no desire to play the game again since.

It's fun. You start off with approx. 7 people and you have to "breed" them in order to increase the number of the tribe. Your population cannot go over 50, and the women refuse to have any more children until the last babies they had reach the age of 2 (which takes up to 3 or 4 hours minimum). Also, everyone ages slowly, even when you speed up similation, the babies you make today won't be old enough to have their own children until tomorrow. There are no enemies, no goals to the game except to solve the different mysteries. After that, there's really nothing else to accomplish. There's little skill needed to master this game, and it can keep you occupied for hours searching the small island for falling moondust, stardust, and crates. If you don't pause simulation or check in on a daily basis, your inhabitants will become too old to bear children and die off... especially if you don't mark enough trees for harvesting, or pre-assign infants to do work when they're old enough in case you won't be online when they reach the appropriate age.

I love this game, it is like virtual villagers, just a bit simpler, I love Virtual Villagers too, so this was awesome.
My favorite part of this game is getting all the different islands and not just one.
The only bad part is the platform, I use to be a windows user, I had vista so i could play this game.
But now I have a mac and I'm not going back, so it really sucks that I can't play this game anymore.
If they ever happened to change the platform I would love to download it again! (:
Thats why i gave 4 stars, for the platform, other than that, great game!

Only two things I don't like about the game: It is too slow paced and I cannot figure out the mysteries at all.
But besides that it is sooooo addicting and fun. Not a day goes by that I do not load into the game to see how my little islanders are doing.

My daughter really enjoys this game, she says it's so much fun and very interesting. It's kinda the same thing as Virtual Villagers (She plays that too.) But she enjoys My Tribe better than virtual villagers. You can pick the trees you wanna cut down, pick the rocks you want to use as resources, and you can teach the Tribespeople how to fish too, and they never fail at this stuff. Virtual Villagers makes you keep trying and trying to get it right. Plus, in My Tribe the water never gets ruined or anything.

I say this is the perfect game for kids.

I went through the demo and wanted to play more. So of course I bought it. But after a few hours it's just repetitive. It's a casual game and that's all you can expect of it - to be able to play it a little bit here and a little bit there - without it losing it's charm. The graphics a good enough for the kind of game, and it's fun to see the generations of tribe members. But the play only stays entertaining for a while.

I downloaded this trial and was blown away by how cool it was...
So cool I even wanted to buy it.
And I tried to, but when I wanted to buy it, It said I needed to put in a credit card..
I dont have a credit card, nor do I plan on ever having one, by learning first hand what people around me have faced.

I have credits from gift certificates I had gotten from Coinstar, but it wasn't an option, the only options were credit cards.

Other than that, from the 30 minutes of me playing the trial, It was an excellent game.
