Book Description

In this contemporary Christmas tale, Arnwald Family Bakery prepares traditional German pastries and holiday goodies for the annual Boerne, Texas’ Dicken's Event. Until tragedy strikes and the family bakery struggles without their patriarch at the helm.

The bakery's success hangs in the shaky hands of the youngest family member when baker Drew Little returns home. Determined to clear his good name, Drew offers to save the bakery despite the owner's accusations against him.

Hannah Arnwald knows Drew can save the bakery, but to hire him would mean going against her father, grandmother and sisters.Without an experienced baker, the store will fail. Does she dare hire him against her
family’s wishes? Could she bear to lose him again if she doesn’t?

About the Author

Married for over 20 years, Shellie and her husband have four wonderful kiddos and two goofy greyhounds. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin--Madison, she went on to acquire an early childhood education certificate. Shellie also served in youth, children's, special needs and family ministries for over twenty-two years. Now she enjoys teaching her teens how to drive and chauffeuring her preteens across the Wisconsin countryside. And once in a while, she loves to read big people books (you know the kind without pictures). Shellie writes because it keeps her away from her husband's power tools and because every now and then, she doesn't have the choice, it just takes over. Her best inspiration comes from God and the occasional walk along a country road with her greyhounds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny & Heartwarming! December 6, 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Grudges Not Included is a funny heartwarming story in which Neumeier successfully creates likeable and, at times, humorous characters. The helpful, yet non-preachy reminder to avoid drawing conclusions before knowing all of the facts round out this enjoyable book.

A side note: if you haven't yet purchased Shellie Neumeier's other book, The Wishing Ring for your children, I would highly recommend that book as well from this gifted author.
