The eagerly awaited grupero movie based on the most talked about tragedy of the year, the kidnapping, torture and eventual assassination of the singer of the well-known Mexican band K-paz De La Sierra, Sergio Gomez, in Mexico where the circumstances are still not clarified, adding to a list of performers killed in a violent crime wave. Although not known for songs glamorizing the drug business, G¢mez had reportedly received death threats by drug cartels urging him not to appear in Michoacan, a hot bed of the drug trade. Hundreds of people mourned G¢mez following the incident in his native Ciudad Hidalgo and about 200 more also gathered in Mexico City, where G¢mez's body was transported. People sang the group's best-known songs and some cried holding flowers and photographs. Now on DVD with unedited scenes describing the rise and fall of the greatest grupero singer.
