1.0 out of 5 stars Guaranteed To Suck, September 14, 2009
This review is from: Guaranteed on Delivery (DVD)
If you're buying this film hoping for some good David Carradine action you're gonna be disappointed. Sure he's shown on the case holding a big gun and getting second billing, but the reality is he has one short scene early on and then disappears for the next forty minutes, returning only towards the very end. The film instead focuses on an ex-cop (Jalal Merhi) reduced to working as a bank security guard. On his first day he gets into a shootout with some robbers (one of whom is Olivier Grunier) and accidentally kills his wife in the chaos. Cut to five years later and Merhi is living out of a semi which serves the dual purpose of home and company vehicle. He started a delivery service called G.O.D. with the promise to deliver packages the other guys won't touch. He gets more than he bargained for when he finds out he's been contracted to deliver humans caught as part of a kidnapping scheme. After he learns from one of the victims that Grunier is behind it he enlists the help of his old friend Carradine and the duo storm the bad guy's fortress. Carradine has ONE funny line but is otherwise totally wasted in this crappy made for video actioner.

3.0 out of 5 stars On Guanranteed Delivery rated movie, January 9, 2007
This review is from: Guaranteed on Delivery (DVD)
This movie was really drawn out and slow moving.
The movie has some action scenes but not much to have stars such as Jalal Merhi and Olivier Gruner. In addition, it has David Carredine. This movie could have been much better, I thought the plot was okay, just too slow.

4.0 out of 5 stars Guarenteed Overnight Delivery G.O.D., September 4, 2006
This review is from: Guaranteed on Delivery (DVD)
Ray Stanton, a once repected cop in his home country, is resigned to becoming a bank security guard here. Worse, when his bank is a victim of a robbery, his violent ways lead to a shootout that leaves his wife dead. Unable to go back to work, he starts his own delivery service -- Guaranteed overnight delivery (G.O.D.) personally transporting packages. When a package he is hauling starts pounding and yelling, he knows that the cargo he's carrying isn't legal in nature. He then also discovers that the people who hired him were the ones responsible for his bank's hold-up. ... Many twists and turns. An enjoyable film from an indie maker.
