Need better ink., April 10, 2010
This review is from: Guard your ID Stamp - Large (Health and Beauty)
The stamp itself is pretty good ... completely covers name and address without being able to read through. The problem is the ink. I accidentally wiped something I stamped with my arm and it all wiped off. I thought maybe it wasn't dry enough so I went to my recycle bin and pulled something out that I stamped the day before and it wiped off with and paper towel. I tried a few different types of mail and all wiped off.

LESS SHREDDING TO DO, October 30, 2010
This review is from: Guard your ID Stamp - Large (Health and Beauty)
We were given this item as a gift. We liked it so well we ordered some for other family members, plus an extra one for us. After reading the other reviews that commented on being able to wipe the stamp off of certain items we read the instructions that come with the stamp. It does not adhere well to magazines or anything that has a "slick" finish. The ink is "grease" base that covers printed paper matter really great; things like printed checks that come with credit card notices or anything you print off the computer, etc. We will continue to use as it has cut down on some of our items to shred.

False Security, December 28, 2010
This review is from: Guard your ID Stamp - Large (Health and Beauty)
I purchased this for certain things that can't be shredded or are difficult to shred, like prescription bottle labels, catalog address area and order forms, etc.. It doesn't work at all on prescription bottle labels, after a few minutes it all just seems to bead up and almost disappear, leaving the label clearly visible. On some paper it actually makes the information pop or almost stand up above the print of the ID guard stamp. I don't know if this is limited to just the Kespon Plus, or all stamps have this same problem.
I got some of the ink on my hands and figured it would be really hard to get it off so I went straight for the tough stuff, La's Totally Awesome cleaner and it removed it immediately, almost too easily. So I then sprayed the cleaner on a paper towel and took it to my desk and tried it on several different types of paper I had stamped, it removed even the oldest cover up. You might think that this is just a great cleaner, but the identity thieves will also know what works to remove this type of supposed protection.
I'm sending it back and writing Plus Corporation a strongly worded letter also. I am now heading to other sites that take opinions on products and I'm leaving the same message, this product does not protect your identity at all.
