I wanted a better case for my baritone uke but I didn't want another gig bag that really doesn't protect the insturment well enough Tip of the hat on the solid construction, design and feather weight of this case. Light to carry but tough as iron. I'm pleased and consider, at the price point, this to be an excellent purchase and product.

This case is exactly as described, hard-foam covered by nylon. It will certainly protect my bari uke; but as this is the third case I've had for it, the zippers always prove to the weak point. In the long run, Chinese imports are the market-killer for many items. But I guess we Yanks like a bargain. In fact, I ordered it from Musician's Friend through the Amazon website to avoid shipping costs.

Fits my 1/4 (30") sized classical guitar,

I ordered a 1/4 sized classical guitar for my 4 year old. It came with a nylon, soft gig bag. The gig bag was too big - sized for a 1/2 sized guitar or maybe even a 3/4. As my daughter is obviously very young, most of her early lessons will be about getting familiar with the guitar - how to hold it and... how to get it in and out of its case. The gig bag was floppy and unwieldy and it was even a bit of a hassle for ME to get the guitar in and out of it. The goal is for my daughter to have fun and not to be frustrated by gear that doesn't fit/work right. My daughter already helps me with my hard shell guitar case - undoing the clasps and lifting the lid, so I thought a hard case that fit her guitar would be the way to go.Unfortunately, there aren't many 1/4 sized guitars being made, and I was unable to find any hard cases made specifically for them. Then I had the idea that a ukulele case might work. A 1/4 sized guitar is 30" long, as is a baritone uke. I wasn't sure if the dimensions of the body were the same, but I decided to go ahead and order it anyway and... it fits perfectly! One of the reason I picked this case over other hard shell cases that looked like my traditional guitar case is because this one is light. Remember that I want a 4 year old to be able to carry it. This is light enough, although it is a bit bulky, and my four year old is little enough (although average height for 4yo) that the case touches the ground when she holds the hand grip and her arm is extended. But it has rings on the back for you to attach backpack straps, so we might end up going that route. My only real complaint about the case is that the outside music pocket is not big enough to hold a standard size book of music. I realize that the reason is the size of the case itself is not really big enough to accommodate a pocket big enough for standard size music books. But, well, I don't know if you should call it a "music pocket" if it's not big enough to hold music books. You could, I suppose, copy pieces out of book (or use sheet music), fold that in half, and put that in the pocket. But still. I just wanted to end this by saying again that this fit my daughter's 1/4 size CLASSICAL guitar. I have seen a few 30" steel string guitars. I don't have one to compare to our classical, so I don't know if their body shape is the same. (And I do know that the body shapes of my full size classical and steel string guitars are different.) So this may not fit a 30" steel string.

my baritone ukulele fits perfect in the case it is super lightweight, and doesn't affect the tune of the ukulele while stored away.

This is a vast improvement over the traditional hardshell case. It is light as a gigbag but strong as a hardshell case. Made from the same material as a bike helmet, I have no doubt this will offer as good as protection as needed short of being run over by a vehicle.Zipper doesn't seem solid. I have no problems now but I have my concerns.

This case is pretty big for such a little guitar .... and yes ... I did get the baritone Ukulele ....The downside to this case, is that you literally have to unzip the zippers all the way around to the back side so you can open the case .... But, once you get over that issue ... it's actually a very nice case. It protects the instrument very nicely and has a storage console on the inside too.... If you know what I mean.

Perfect Fit For Kid's 1/4 Guitar,

I also was looking for a guitar case for my 6 year old. He has a 1/4 guitar, 30 inches long. I decided to look at the ukulele case when I came upon a reviewer who had done the same thing. I decided to purchase the case. The 1/4 guitar fit perfectly in the case! Nice and snug, not like the floppy one that he had. It also came with the backpack straps and has a little compartment in the case that you lift up to hold picks or other accessories. My little one loves it. He carries it on his back or sometimes by the handle. We thought it would be too much for him to carry, but it's not. Definitely a great find and purchase!
