Buyer beware,
I would not suggest purchasing this product. It has been a headache since the day we received it. This product is noisy and very heavy and has trouble staying in the outlet (any outlet) without another plug beneath it holding it in. In addition, within days of plugging it in, we started getting loud grinding noises. After contacting customer service, we were refused our money back and instead given a replacement purifier. The replacement has not been any different than the original. At the time of this purchase, we also purchased a "Honeywell HFD-120 Tower HEPA Air Purifier with Permanent IFD Filter, Black" from Amazon for a different room. I would highly recommend that you spend a little more money and get this one - its fantastic! We could not be more happy with the Honeywell. (Update - I noticed that since I purchased this small plug in purifier a few months ago, the price has gone down almost in half. No wonder - it wasnt worth what I paid for it and it isnt worth what they are charging now).

We have bought 4 of these units, placing them at different locations throughout the house. They simply have a fan and UV lamp, recirculating air. A tad noisy, you do want them turned off if they are in the bedroom at night. They are good at taking the odors out of smelly bathrooms, hallways, book rooms, etc. The bulbs seem to last about one year. Out of four, the first one lost the bulb about 13 months in operation. Weight wise, I can't say they are light, if you have decent plugs, they will hold in, worn out plugs may let them dangle. That said, for what you pay and what they do, you can't beat the deal. They will clean out the air of airborne bacteria and such BUT they have no filtration. So if you think that you need to clean the air AND sanitize the air, there are better solutions from the larger companies like 3M, Honeywell, etc. The replacement bulbs are way out to expensive, around $12.00 or more...

Even though it is a tad noisy, my bedroom door is shut in the daytime, so I don't listen to it...........it's worth it to destroy all unhealthy viruses, bacteria, fungi, etc., in the air. I don't run it at night. Mine stays in the socket well.

I like this air sanitizer. I have it near the cat litter box and it's working well. It makes a slight soft buzzing noise but it's not loud and doesn't bother me, in it's present location. The unit is a little large, so may be llittle heavy for some older electric wall electric outlets, but that can be dealt with. Overall we're very pleased.
