What does a tough fighting, hard drinking, love em' and leave em' warrior she-were need in a mate? Well,a were whose as pretty as can be and just as submissive as a lamb. Or, does she? Freya thinks that and more when she is put in charge of three young she-were debs at a "Get A Mate" cotillion. While at one of the functions, she spots her ideal; ice-blonde,blue-eyed,slim-waisted,adrogynous Rayne. The attraction is mutual. Rayne is drawn to the dark-eyed,brown-skinned warrior woman. After a night of steamy, sweaty, clawing sex,she finds out that not only does Rayne have a mate, but that the mate,Fenris, who is Rayne's alpha wants Freya as well!"A Guardian's Desire" was a very good read. I can say that in comparing Mya's weres with others that I read, hers put the UMPH into weredom! When Freya,Fenris and Rayne get together its a fight, literally, to see who will be on top! Just stand back and watch the fur fly!

Go beyond your everyday boy meets girl adventures, and follow Freya into a world of beast, bounty hunting, and sexual seduction. You will not be able to put this book down. You will want to know what happens to the characters. This book was very well written. It was long enough the author did not drag out the story.I give this book five stars!! Caution: If you can't take the heat, continue to read anyway, you will enjoy the story!

Better than expected,
This review is from: A Guardian's Desire (Kindle Edition)
This was a great read. I would have given it five stars but admittedly the prologue and the last twenty pages sort of did me in and I was confused until the epilogue. But don't let that keep you from reading this book! A Guardian's Desire was hot from page to page. Usually I don't care for m/m/f stories because one of the heroes always comes off rather weak or like the second woman. Not the male hero in this book. Rayne was submissive, but that's how he got his kicks. Outside of the bedroom he was as much the Alpha as Fenris. This book was a surprising and refreshing departure from all the "My mate, I found my mate" themed books out there.I'm definitely looking forward to reading more of this author's work.

Big Bad Wolf....,

This is Werewolf erotica at it's best!!! Be warned there is m/m action and m/f/m action in this book so it's not for everyone. The hero's are strong Alpha and a somewhat feminine looking Beta male. The heroine is a strong warrior type who could be considered mannish in some ways but and her character does not deviate from that. The story has lots of action think "Lara Croft" but also blazing m/f/m love scenes. There is some gore so just be aware. I really enjoyed this story. I got the ebook version from "Loose id", it was around $8. Still, this book is worth it if you like shape shifter erotica with a unusual twist in character personalities.**Loved how the heroine played "mother hen" to her charges, it was funny and cute!

Fun and sexy!,

An enjoyable romp in the world of the supernatural. Freya's a strong character who can certainly take care of herself, but when she meets Rayne and his alpha Fenris, suddenly it's a lot harder to stay in control. She's always wanted to be the dominant one in a relationship, but her attraction to the two males might make her change her mind if she can stand to yield a little more than she expected. Certainly there's some steamy scenes, but they come with a story and enough suspense to make this one a page turner. Good stuff, and I hope to see a sequel!

First time I read anything by this author and it was well worth the read. Loved the roles of the characters and how well balanced they were. I love strong female leads and this one deliveries. The steamy scenes help to put a little color in your cheeks and helps the heart get that cardio workout without hitting the gym. The best is the cat ... love the cat.

A Guardian's Desire- A Joyfully Recommended Title,
This review is from: A Guardian's Desire (Paperback)
Freya Daniels is all Alpha, and 150% warrior, which makes her one of the top bounty hunter werewolves in the game. After an assignment that literally takes her months to recover from, escorting untried young females to the werewolf pageant to find prospective mates is like taking candy from a baby since the job is nothing but glorified babysitting. The last thing Freya expects is for anyone to catch her eye, or to be pursued and courted. She doesn't know if she should ignore what appears to be an insult or to administer the proper treatment to the upstart by kicking his butt! No matter how she feels the need to kiss Rayne is much stronger than anything else. Things become more complicated once Freya discovers that not only is Rayne a beta wolf and a magic-user, he's sworn to an Alpha, Fenris. Fenris is the total opposite of Rayne, an enormous powerhouse of muscle and sheer dominance. It's enough to make her think twice about pursuing Rayne, who is more her ideal. What's an Alpha female to do between chaperoning three excitable charges while fending off two hot males that have already decided she belongs to them? Never one to refuse a challenge, it's all she can do to keep from backing down, and the only thing that's keeping her from running for cover is pride. A Guardian's Desire is 22 chapters plus of fierce action, blazing sex and paranormal thrills, and it still wasn't enough. Mya has created a tough-as-nails, hard-drinking heroine that curses and fights better than her male counterparts while still remaining all woman. This was Freya, take it or leave it, and I loved her. She grew, she changed, and it was a pleasure to see her find true happiness with Rayne and Fenris after cheering her on whenever she was beating the stuffing out of male werewolves left and right. I would trade places with her in heartbeat. Rayne is beautiful, submissive, and very assertive, everything she was initially seeking in a mate until she discovered he was much, much more. Fenris is brutally masculine, her counterpart in every way, with a desire to protect and dominate them both. Rayne keeps everyone in line, while Freya and Fenris work out who will run the show. They make a kick-ass team in and out the bedroom. This novel was a wonderful surprise. I got more than I bargained for in all the fabulous plot twists and turns. Mya does a bang-up job with werewolf culture, balancing savagery and natural splendor through her characters. She uses the connection of various relationships to force Freya into realizing what is missing from her life: Living. A Guardian's Desire is a literary canvas of intense showdowns, passionate rendezvous, and remarkable, fascinating characters. You'll be very sorry if you don't snatch this book up and explore the visually astonishing world this author has brought to life. Patrice F Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

Right up front: This book got four stars instead of five from me due to the numerous English-language errors scattered throughout the book. Many people will not be bothered by such trifles, won't really notice them; such people are fortunate. I see them. They bother me. I wonder 'Why didn't the author/editor use a simple grammar checker on this manuscript?' when I should be falling further into the story. That said -- WOW! What a great story! Yes, it's a MWM story. There are only so many ways all those pieces and parts can go together, as we all know. What makes all these books/stories interesting (or not) is the story the author weaves around the steamy sex--and the description of the mechanics of sex when it occurs. Mya is a wonderful storyteller. The world she wove in this book was compelling and fabulous and strong and swift and made me want to be there with them. In this book one finds a strong, hard, tough, lonely, isolated protagonist--Freya, a woman warrior and Guardian, a sexual dominant (or she would be if she would allow herself to search for a partner). While on an easy assignment guarding some dewy-eyed young virgins at a sort-of coming-out party for werewolves, Freya is disarmed by a fabulously strong and capable man who happens to also be a sexual submissive. Lurking in the shadows is the dominant partner of that submissive man, and the duo is there for Freya. The ongoing sexual tension and scenes of actual sexual play were extremely well-written and did not ever get tedious or repetitive, as so often happens in erotic fiction. I read my share of these books and am always on the lookout for good authors who have an unusual perspective to add to the basic "paranormal erotic romance" genre. Mya just catapulted to the top of that small group of writers whose words I find exciting, and I'll definitely be on the lookout for her upcoming books.

Like I said Guardian's Desire kept me up reading until the wee hours of the morning. Mya's rich charcters and engaging story is only enlivened by the steamy scenes between Freya and her mates. I have fallen for Freya myself. What a great powerful female warrior character. This has been a treat! I can't wait to read more of Mya's writing. I know her paintings are beautiful and imaginative and now I know her talent knows no bounds.
