Good read,

This review is from: Guardians of the Flame: Atlantis is Returning in Consciousness (Paperback)
This book was written in a straight forward manor much like a role playing session. The story and experiences of the characters were the emphasis and the technical descriptions were very limited. All in all a very enjoyable book.

Steamworks meets fantasy,
By Fraek@wt.net (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Guardians of the Flame: Atlantis is Returning in Consciousness (Paperback)
The Guardians of the Flame novel by Joel Rosenberg takes pen and paper gamers and plunges them into a setting not unlike the Forgotten Realms. They become their own characters but retain their own knoweledge about our present time, like engineering and gunpowder. This is a very cool series. These books almost remind me of the upcoming game Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. You should read reviews and find screenshots about the game, and you can get a better idea of this book. |
