This book combined all of my favorite themes, although it was a bit light on romance. I had a hard time putting this book down. When is the next one coming out?

I found the on-line page sample pages of this book to be a bit tedious. So I was delighted to find that as soon as I got a few pages into the actual book and started reading, it flowed very nicely. I found myself staying up late to finish reading it. The book is a clever approach to the conflict between magic and technology, and has an interesting explanation for magic that satisfies my more scientific preferences. One disappointment is that the resolution of the storyline left me a bit unsatisifed. This was possibly by design, and I hope that the author is planning a sequel or at least another story in the same frame.
