You have a petite woman who was a ex-marine who just by looking at her would think who is she going to protect, but this lady is something she is stubborn, don't take no stuff off of anybody and stand her ground until she meet Lorenzo 'Renny'. This man is tall and DROP DEAD GOREROUS. He is consider the playboy of the family the younget son but Renny is nothing like you read about. We know the saying 'Can't Judge A Book By It Cover' and with Renny you shouldn't. Renny & Sabrina are good together. Sabrina trust has been shattered due to something that happen when she was young, so she meet this man she is to protect and at first glance you can see the attraction between them but they both fight because nether one is looking for a relationship, but that when it happen when you are not looking. For this couple Renny is a true gentlemen and he believe that he can take care of himself. Sabrina shows Renny that she can and will protect him becasue that is her job, and Renny shows Sabrina that she can learn to trust again. Once the wall around them come tumble down so do everything else. Renny is loyal and protected of the people he love and he love him some Sabrin. There is a little suspense going on and great loving as well. This book is HOT, HOT, HOT and their love scene are HOT. I hope this is not the end of. Oh don't let me forget but we get to see Trent Donovan..........LORD HAVE MERCY, and oh boy is he sexy. Louise

5.0 out of 5 stars The Body Guard and The Artist, June 30, 2008
This review is from: Guarding His Body (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Romance on the Run is the new series of books by A.C. Arthur. In the first novel, Guarding His Body, Arthur introduces readers to the Bennett Family. The Bennett family, owners of Bennett Industries, was on the verge of one of the biggest mergers the country had ever seen. However, someone was threatening members of the family. They hired the Desdune Securities for personal security. Everyone was pleased except Lorenzo. Lorenzo did not think he needed personal security; particularly since petite, sexy Sabrina Desdune was guarding him.

Sabrina was an ex-marine who was proud to be a part of her brother's security service. She realized very early that providing protection for Lorenzo was not going to be easy. Lorenzo was tall, sexy and everything she wanted in a man. Sparks immediately began to fly between them and for the first time, Sabrina was unsure of her actions and it could cost them both their lives.

Arthur's story put the readers in the middle of the action from the first page. Her writing style captivates the reader and pulls the reader into the drama that unfolds between Lorenzo and Sabrina, first as clients and then as lovers. There was the right mix of sensuality mixed with mystery. I cannot wait to read the next installment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who's Guarding Who?, August 15, 2008
This review is from: Guarding His Body (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Millionaire playboy Lorenzo "Renny" Bennett didn't have time for a relationship. Women threw themselves at him, but he always let them know upfront that the relationship was going nowhere. He was the odd brother out. He was an artist, not a "suit" in the family multi-million dollar business. When threats against his family caused the Bennetts to obtain security, Renny was less than pleased with his bodyguard.

Sabrina Desdune left the military after 16 years to return home and work for her brother's security company. Something caused Bree to come home, and no one knew why...and she wasn't talking. But Renny had other plans. From their first meeting , Renny and Bree felt an attraction. After their first encounter, there was no mistaking the sexual chemistry between these two.

Guarding His Body was phenomenal. AC Arthur did an excellent job intertwining the subplots into the main plot. The element of suspense will have you turning page after page. It had all the elements of a good adventure, an excellent suspense thriller, and a mind-blowing romance novel. I cannot say enough good things about this book. Guarding Hs Body is definitely a must read.

2.0 out of 5 stars I expected more, October 27, 2008

I'll keep this short. In books where the man is the Marine, cop, excop, bodyguard ect...he is allowed to be just that, the hero. This is the second book that claims to have a strong kick a** woman has the heroine but in the end her brothers, dad and man constantly doubt and over her ride her skills and abilities. Too many times Sabrina is treated like a child and not a skilled exsoldier. In the end when all is said and done she didn't save the day and in fact couldn't even save herself. Her man had to save her. This could have been a really great story if Sabrina would have been stronger and more confident. The "mystery" surrounding her leaving the Marines was not excuted well and the short less that 2 page explaination seemed rushed.

3 stars because there were some well written steamy moments in the book.

If you want to read about a kick a** woman who kicks a** from start to finish read Sexy Dangerous by Beverly Jenkins.Sexy/Dangerous

5.0 out of 5 stars Renny Frenzy!!, November 14, 2011
This review is from: Guarding His Body (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Wow! I read a lot of romance novels and must say that this is one of the best I've read in 2008. It had everything --passion, intrigue, mystery, jealousy, obsession, did I say PASSION.

Bree was an adorable character with a heavy heart. Outside she was hard as nails but inside she was very fragile. Being the baby of the family, made it hard for her to accept everyone's love and protection for what it was. She confused it with control, and truly, her family just wanted to insulate her from the world's ugliness.

Then she meets Lorenzo "Renny" Bennett . . . And life is never the same. These two ignited lust so strong, that everyone around them could detect it. Renny was fierce and passionate about all aspects of his life -- his art, his family, and Bree. And, those erotic statues were a nice touch too.

As the story progresses, their relationship grows and we are introduced to mystery, twists, and turns right up until the very end.

3.0 out of 5 stars It was good but..., August 29, 2010
Well I thought it was pretty good but there seemed to be a little something missing for me. It isnt one of my favorites by her. I am looking forward to reading about the rest of the Bennetts.

First let me say that I believe that Renny was mouth-watering fine. The description in the book gave me a great visual of what this character looked like...my goodness, but I digress. This book was off the chain. I loved the chemistry between Bree and Renny. I loved the fact that both characters were so protective of each other. I also loved the closeness of the Bennetts and the Desdunes. I guess Lynn will be hookin' up with Rico, so I am looking forward to that story. Also can't wait to read Trent Donovan's story...LOL. That story will be interesting I am sure. Very good book. Looking forward reading more books by this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Art of Falling In Love, July 19, 2008
By
This review is from: Guarding His Body (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
A.C. Arthur turns up the heat with Guarding His Body, which is the start of the Top Secret: Romance on the Run series that Kimani Romance is producing this summer. Two powerful and influential families come together as one big family, which can only lead to some jealous people.

Sabrina "Bree" Dedune has always had to prove herself to her family. She was the baby girl and everyone thought they knew what was best for her she did everything she could to rebel. Joining the Marine's offered her the freedom she dreamed of but it was the Marine's that shattered all that and sent her home to her family to put her life back together but what happens when her past comes to her present? Lorenzo "Renny" Bennett was what the paparazzi called a playboy. He was not interested in being a part of the family business because he had his art and it was taking off but when his world is turned upside down because someone wants to threaten the family he's introduced to his most influential muse yet.

Not liking the idea that Bree has been assigned as his bodyguard he finds himself finding out the little things about her that sends his blood boiling as they spend time together Bree & Renny find their selves falling in love but not before their past can push them both against the wall fighting for their lives. Along with putting together the pieces to solve the each problem separately, Bree & Renny find their selves solving the biggest problem of all their love.

A.C. Arthur kicks up the notch with this book its one of her best she is an author who can intertwine families with ease. I hope that the rest of the series is just as good.
