If you are an Architect, Engineer or a student of either then I think this book is a must read. This is also a book that anyone interested in Architecture will enjoy.
For the professional, or student: Think you understand the arch or dome?...think again. This is one of those "old world" methods that will make you wonder just how advanced we really are. Then you will want to check the work being done at MIT (on the Internet). You will also want to look at more technical books on the subject like: "Essay On The Theory And History If Cohesive Construction: Applied Especially To the Timbrel Vault" by R. Guastavino. |
