This is the best tea ever! Great chai flavor with the added kick of Mate. I would guess that the GuaYucky reviewer does not like Yerba Mate. If you like mate, you will love this tea.

I love Guayaki's original, but I'm not a huge fan of the chai spice mate. I bought it, because I love chai and I love mate...not a great combination. Something about the sweeter kick with this one doesn't work for me. I usually drink two cups per tea bag, and the second one goes down a lot smoother. Maybe I just need to dilute the first a bit mote.

This product is deicious and a great alternative for coffee lovers trying to break away

Guayaki Traditional Loose Yerba Mate is a personal favorite, as is Peet's Coffee and Tea Masala Chai. Both of them have their own unique qualities that are great in a cup of tea, Guayaki's Mate in it's own unique taste, and Peet's Masala Chai in its pungent and fragrant mix of spices and black tea.

So, naturally, I thought that I'd like Chai Mate. Wow... was I in for a surprise. The resulting mixture was a disappointingly weak blend of Mate and other ingredients. Now, I believe a great cup of Chai to be one that you can smell from thirty feet away - and you absolutely will get that with a good correctly brewed cup of Peet's. Pour some cream into it, and the dark color of the tea blends with the cream into a delicious looking cup of tea. Or even enjoy it plain. Or just with sugar. And the same with Loose Yerba Mate, you know the taste, you want a strong cup of tea, and you want it's flavor.

With Chai Mate, you get a weak tasting Mate taste and a insipid tasting Chai taste that overall smells way too healthy for Chai and way too weak for Mate. Overall these two don't mix - neither, incidentally, does cream... pour some of that into the tea and it will look watery, thin, and not very inviting.

Do yourself a favor, buy the Traditional Loose Yerba Mate and then buy a tin of Peet's Masala Chai and have two cups of GREAT tasting tea, not one cup of bland, insipid, and watery tea.

It is as my friend described it, Amazing.
Aromatic and full of flavor, Chai Mate awoke my senses from the moment i smelled it.

LOVE THIS TEA, IT IS VERY REFRESHING AND GOOD. DRINK IT EVERY MORNING. GIVES ME ENERGY AND HELPS ME GET READY FOR THE DAY.

Man this stuff his horrible. Worst tasting tea I've ever experienced. And I'm not not just referring to this brand. I would assume that all Guayaki tastes Guayucky.
