I bought this machine to soda blast a 26 foot boat, as it was my first time soda blasting a boat i didnt know what to expect.

Pros
It does strip bottom paint very well.
It is portable and easy to assemble and use.

Cons
You need a very good compressor to have this work at peak performance, i was using a 20 gallon 3.5 hp compressor and i could essentially only blast for about 3 minutes and then the blasting was ineffective. i would then have to wait 5 min for the compressor to build back up to achieve optimal results.
It uses a ridiculous amount of media i went through 500 pounds of media for the entire boat, but i felt it was partially because of the machine wasting alot of it.
the hose is not long enough and blew a hole through the top halfway through the job. I was able to buy regular pvc tubing and jerry rig a replacement but this was annoying.
you need to constantly add media to the tank and this is a very laborious process since the hole is 2 in wide.
none of the controls work on the machine essentially you turn on the flow valve and turn it off.
it makes a complete mess and blows soda everywhere
midway through use the flow of media isnt good and you need to shake bottle to get it to work.

Great product and am very happy with the results however I would recommend replacing the cheap blue plastic hose and quick connect fittings with an actual piece of rubber air hose with barbed fitting on one end and quick disconnect on the other end otherwise they will just pop off. Had the same issue with same design in those quick air line kits in my garage. Once I replaced the hose with a much better design I had no leaks and worked perfectly.. Great product for the price.. Again Thanks

General Comments:
This is a great media blaster for the price. I had intended to use soda as the medium when I purchased it but at $35 a bag, I opted for cheaper alternatives because I didn't have to worry about etching chrome or glass.

I tried black magic coal slag medium and crushed glass and found the crushed glass to work best. They are both available at Northern Tool and the black magic is a little cheaper at ~$7/50lb bag vs the crushed class at ~$9/50lb bag. As far as the paint removal, both mediums performed similarly but the black magic must stay dry or it will clump. Having some water in the air lines, this created a problem which was quickly remedied by using the crushed glass, which is unaffected by the water.

I bought this with the intention to use it to media blast a 1950's Admiral fridge I am restoring. The paint is thick, old, and very durable but this blaster takes it off with ease.

Assembly:
With the included instructions, assembly was relatively straight forward but be sure to use lots of pipe dope (included) or you will have air leaks that can affect the blasting performance.

Quality:
The valves and gage are cheap but do the job. The nozzle is also cheap and my hose ended up with a hole in it (Though I suspect this was because of the glass I was using instead of soda).

Use:
The wheels are cheap and it rolls fine but the footprint is small so unless its on a level surface, it tends to tip over easily. It is also inconvenient to turn off and on with the valves instead of a nozzle located trigger. Refilling is tedious because the air hose has to be disconnected (with provided quick connect/disconnects), the top part unscrewed and removed, and then slowly top filling with a funnel.

It'd better be super huge. The details for this blaster state that it operates between 35 and 90 PSI, but the media stops coming out under about 80 PSI for me. At that pressure I can blast for about five minutes with my 27 gal., 5 hp. compressor before I need to stop and let it re-pressurize. During that five minutes the blaster works pretty well. I can strip paint and rust. The nozzle and fittings are cheap, but serviceable. Unfortunately, I find it completely impractical to only be able to use it for such a short duration, and I don't care to spend more on a higher-power air compressor.

This soda blaster is exactly as described. It arrived on time and works good. This unit is by far the best value on the internet. I would recommend it to a friend.

You need a bigger air compressor to run it but after I got a new compressor it works good just wish they would have out that in the notes before I got it
