I feel very fortunate that Vince Antonucci's book arrived just before the historic snowfall on the east coast! I was able to settle in with Guerilla Lovers and feel both challenged and encouraged by the opportunity we all have to make a difference in this world. Vince's humorous writing style makes this an easy read but there is no mistaking his passion for our mission to love God and love people. Each chapter ends with questions intended to seriously challenge the reader to take action and integrate the concepts into their life in a meaningful way. The pages are full of example of real-life guerilla lovers who are doing just that.

One of my favorite quotes is, "What if your church became known not for what happens in the church building on Sunday mornings but for what happens out in the community the rest of the week?" That's the kind of a church that can make a difference!

just finished guerilla lovers and loved it. i could feel vince's passion for serving and loving others. there are great stories throughout the book--i'm always worried in christian books that the author will share stories i've heard before, but these were all fresh. in addition, vince's whackiness shines through...at some points you get a stream-of-consciousness tour of vince's brain, which is both bizarre and fun. this was a quick read because it's so well written: both fun and challenging.

Guerilla Lovers is practical and life changing. It shakes up the norm of the Christian and the Church. The life altering stories are real and applicable. Mad props to Vince for always being creative, funny, and obedient to the love of God. Jesus was a guerilla lover and I want to be too!

More than anything else, I appreciate the practical application that Vince is constantly giving his readers. Most Christians have a heart to touch their city, and see lives changed while glorifying God - but most are not sure HOW to do it. Guerrilla Lovers gives a solid foundation exposing the need for us to love, but always wraps each chapter in a healthy layer of application.

Vince also delivers this needed message of Guerrilla-style Love with a great sense of humor. This is definitely an easy read. I bought 10 copies for my leaders (who don't read that much) and each one of them said it was easy to get to the next chapter.

Finally, this book is authentic because Vince lives this out. As a soon-to-be church planter I've been thankful to see Vince and his church truly embody the message of this book. Vince is a leader worth following. Buy his books, read his blog, and DO what he's begging Christian to do: LOVE people closely, repetitively, and with no strings attached.

I really enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down. Actions do speak much louder than words, and from my personal experience, Vince has always been a person to demonstrate that throughout his own life. The individual stories of "Guerrilla Lovers" had a profound affect on me, so much so, that I want those to be a part of my life. I have been challenged to take risks and I have chosen to follow-thru. As St. Francis said, "Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary use words."

Vince Antonucci writes with an urgency and a passion unlike too many authors I have read before. Guerrilla Lovers goes beyond the gentle exortations to live out the Great Commandment by becoming "missional" or "doing random acts of kindness" or "loving others like crazy". Vince has the writing style, the heart, and the fervor that make not only taking the next step to love others seem like a good idea, but an essential part of being a follower of Jesus.

Guerrilla Lovers is well written (with lots of practical tips) and is easy to digest. Vince writes with inspiration, honesty, candor and off-the-wall humor, making the time you invest reading the book worth the effort. But I need to warn you: if you have a pulse, this book is not a book you can simply read and but back on the shelf; it will fester until you act. The whispering voice of God I heard in chapter one, became a shout by the time I was finished. I recommend this book for anyone who really wants to begin loving others in their community and around the world.

How refreshing and ridiculous!!! There is a movement brewing and Guerrilla Lovers adds to the grind. Vince's special blend of personal transparency, biblical truth, practical application, and weird but compelling humor make this work powerful and challenging.Bought copies for our staff and look forward to leading our church to take the leap!

If there has been a stirring in your life in regard to opening your hands and living out the Christ life...Then this is a book that will help to continue that work in your heart.

Vince has done it again. This book is an awesome read. I love the way Vince communicates the challenge of the gospel for Christians. His humor and transparency throughout the book disarms you and makes you feel like it's OK to be real too. but he doesn't leave you there; he challenges you to love like Jesus.

I've already thought of people I want to give this book to and two small groups I want to work through this. Vince has done an outstanding job of letting God speak though him. This book is funny, thought-provoking, 'rebellious', and very practical.

This is one book you won't regret reading.

Want to learn how to make a positive influence on the people around you? Read Guerilla Lovers! So many times you read a book and think "yeah, sounds nice, but I wouldn't know how to do that." What I love about this book is that it is full of examples of people living out the "guerilla lover" lifestyle, and each chapter ends with questions to think about and ideas or a challenge for you to implement the main points. You come away saying "yes, I see how I can implement this in my life", and not only that, you want to implement it because you see how it makes a difference in the world when this kind of love is lived! For one book to be this practical, but at the same time so challenging and so FUN - I give it very high marks!

You can find all kinds of books out there about loving God but never before has a book been published that makes it so easy to love PEOPLE! Vince offers up a wealth of practical ideas as well as great resources that will allow you to begin even before you've finished the book. He also shares a lot of great stories from people who are already caught up in Guerrilla Love-fare. In his first book, Vince taught us how to transform our lives into the ones that Jesus intended us to live. Now it's time to go out and transform other's lives. It's time to go out and change the world! The revolution has begun!
