This is a review to help counteract the "YUK" review. The answer is: anyone who believes in freedom and a passive BALANCE of power between people and government.I do own the book and for it's era it gets *6* stars! However, it's becoming very dated especially regarding electronics. Still, the chemistry and message of freedom is as valid as ever!

I've read this book and I believe that is very well written and informative. My problem is that it is too simply put. In the hands of a teenager, or a irrespondsible adult the extreme power of explosives could be misused. (i.e. The Colorado school incident). Explosives and other things discussed in this book are to be respected, and not made easy enough for some 16 year old pyscho to make. But overall it is a very good book.

I like to learn about explosives. I thought this book was easy to understand,... it has got to be easy for anyone. If you buy one book this year by this book, until then keep reading !

All bull. Most. if not all of the techniques used in this book are far from amature status, and could easily kill any of it's more daring readers.

Over all this is a pretty good book. The recipes for the explosives are pretty easy to follow. Although some of them are a bit complicated, it has a lot of information on detonators too. There's even a section on the history of explosives. If your thinking about buying this book, do it!

I read this book and its nother more than one could derive at any good public library or easily found aliasly IP via internet. When I wanna get good stuf I just make a quick trip to Islamic lands, south africa, Zealand or a soviet republic claiming business purpose and ship via annonymous carrier back home, Its much more fun, and you get far bnetter stuff, and it turns out ID'd as US or soviet militry gear, really a better way to tag blame on an untrusted "secret" military or terrorist activity, and much much more effective than anyhting I personally have every been able to make as home brew.
