A truly sublime tale of familial love, March 8, 2009
This review is from: Guess How Much I Love You (Hardcover)
On its face, the story is entirely cute and accessible to children and, really, should be read by a parent to his\her child. Ultimately, however, it is a subtextual tale of the ultimacy of parental love. Told as a silly and sweet contest of wills, the tale recounts the competing protestations of how much love the Big Nutbrown Hare has for Little Nutbrown Hare, and how much love Little Nutbrown Hare has for Big Nutbrown Hare. The poetry of the interaction exists in the loving way each tries to best the other in a gentle challenge. Its denouement is classic, exalting an ultimately pyrrhic victory as ultimately a classic sacrifice. This one is a favorite.

Guess How Much I Love You? IMMEASURABLE...., May 17, 2006
This review is from: Guess How Much I Love You (Hardcover)
This is my current favorite book aside from "The Missing Piece" and "Griffin and Sabine". I'm planning to buy another copy of this book for my boyfriend and I plan to give it on our 3rd year anniversary. Well that's my little intro before reviewing this book.
If you would notice I love childrens book, maybe because they are easy to read and simpler to comprehend but always give the readers a great lesson to keep. This is what this book all about---it's about simple converstation telling the other person how much you love him and next is arguing how much love you give and then weigh who has more love. Then later on the other person gets tired proving how much love he is giving and then he just suddenly gave up. While the other person continuously state how much he love the person.
Love is immeasurable. No limits and boundaries. We cannot quantify it thru exact measurement for it continuously flow and endure as time goes by. As we love we should also remember that we shouldn't expect anything in return and love does not obey any command, it only follows what the person heart's is beating for.

I have 2!, January 31, 2006
This review is from: Guess How Much I Love You (Hardcover)
I loved this book so much. I was given a copy, read it, loved it, and then forgot about it. Later I was searching for a christmas gift for my son and came across it in the store. I remembered liking the book, so I bought it. When I got home I realized that we already owned the book! Now we have 2 copies!
The story is very cute and children enjoy hearing it. Everyone has "I love you" battles (who loves who the most) and this book is basically a story about a father rabbit and a baby rabbit who are loving each other so much that they are trying to out do each other's love.
