5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Story
This story is so sweet that you could read it everynight and never tire from it. It is about a parents love for their child that is so great that it can reach as far as the moon, and back. We have read it so often, I need a replacement!
Also, a very sweet baby present!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for desperate moms like me!
This book is good, but just cause I am so desperate for good Arabic books to read to my daughter. I thought that the story was cute, but not too much. I didn't like the idea that the Arabic part of the story seems to be secondary since the book starts from left to right (wouldn't want to teach my kid that it's ok to read Arabic the wrong way). The Arabic is classical Arabic, so one can't really go wrong there (but my 2 year old daughter lost interest quickly since she found the Clasical tone odd). She loved the rabbit though and kept telling me about them.

So it is a good book considering the availability of simple books in Arabic for young children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent way to share love with your child, June 4, 2007
This review is from: Guess How Much I Love You (Hardcover)
I love this book and accompanying DVD. It's a tender story to share with your child either by reading the book or watching the DVD together. I especially like the DVD because it's not highly animated. It's like a moving watercolor. When your day feels overwhelming this book will bring you back to a place of peace.

I bought this book for my daughter's first christmas. I recently bought it again with the accompanying DVD. She is now 2-1/2 years old and loves the book and "movie." It is only 5 minutes long, but she loves to watch it over and over. It is definitely a big hit in our house!

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy to see a classic translated, January 27, 2008

This is such a wonderful childrens story. It still captivates my 6 year old son and my 3 year old daughter loves it. My son and I frequently get into the "I love you up to the ..... and back" routine.

What you think of this translation kind of depends on how you want to use it. My children are English speakers who we would like to see learn Arabic. Therefor, I appreciate the fact that the English and Arabic text are both on the page. My husband can pick it up and read it to the kids in Arabic, and I can pick up the same book and read it to the kids in English. My son was fascinated the first time my husband read it to him in Arabic because he was familiar with the story and could kind of follow along with the pictures even if he didn't understand every word.

I considered giving this book four stars due to the other reviewers comment about the book being laid out left to right, and it is true that it would be the opposite if it was solely an Arabic story book. Like I said though, it is all about how you want to use it. My children will never be able to read the Arabic text on their own (or by the time they can they will no longer be interested in the book), so the fact that the pages are ordered left to right makes no difference to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story for a father to read to his child., February 14, 2009

Guess How Much I Love You
This classic children's book is a bedtime conversation between Big Nutbrown Hare and Little Nutbrown Hare (both male) about which one loves the other one more. Big and Little Hare are shown enjoying being physical together, and the book also subtly addresses the differences in abilities between grown men and little boys. A great book if you have a little boy who is in a competitive phase or enjoys being rough-and-tumble. The Leap Pad version combines the book's positive message with educational activities as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best children's book, January 13, 2009
This review is from: Guess How Much I Love You (Hardcover)
Guess How Much I Love You is definitely one of the best children's books around. It is a fun way to tell your child that you love him/ her a whole lot probably more than he or she can imagine.
