Cute but no detail,
By
This review is from: Guess How Much I Love You: My Baby Book (Hardcover)
I bought this book for the birth of my 2nd son after reading the reviews and liking the actual story book. However, when I received the book I was very disappointed. The pages are covered with cute pictures and sayings but it didn't have much for you to actual record about your baby. It didn't allow you to go into detail and write about your feelings or details about events, it just gave blanks for you to put in what month something was accomplished. It would be fine for someone who don't want specific dates or details about the milestones their baby reaches, but I wanted more than it offered. I returned it and purchased the updated version of Little Suzy's Zoo baby book, which is what I had with my first son, and I love it.

Good all-around baby book,

I bought this baby book based on the reviews and the fact that Guess How Much I Love You is one of my favorite children's books. The book does a nice job of asking enough questions to make a complete record for your baby without being overly burdensome. Some of the other books I looked at seriously asked what the weather was on the day you found out your were pregnant. Seriously, who would care about that? This baby book also gives great suggestions for a few pictures which is helpful--like the place to put a picture of you pregnant. I am very pleased.

Would not buy again,
This review is from: Guess How Much I Love You: My Baby Book (Hardcover)
Although this book is very cute and doesn't go overboard recording every move the baby makes, it leaves out important info. There's no place to record gifts/baby showers or visitors to the hospital or home after the baby is born. One reason I rushed to get a book was so I could start recording the baby gifts we're receiving but this book was no help.

I'm not much into scrapbooking and never had an overwhelming need to document every little detail. This baby book is ideal for busy moms working outside the home or with multiple kids. The illustrations are great (sweet, but not too sweet, just like the book). I just bought another book for my sister who had a baby a few months ago. There are pages for all the basic milestones, spaces for a few pictures, and concludes with pages to document a 2nd birthday. I've seen baby books that are huge, but they are often left blank because of the effort they take to complete. I think women buy those books (or receive them as gifts) with good intentions, not realizing (or forgetting) how exhausting a newborn can be. My daughter will be two soon, and looking through the book has been great. I have to add a few more photos, but the rest is all filled in. I think she'll appreciate it when she's older. Can't wait to complete the 2nd bday page - almost done!

I received this book as a gift for my first son. When our second son was born, I searched and searched for a similar book for him. My problem with all the other baby books I looked at is they are too detailed! I don't want to write about everything in the world....I want to be able to record important facts and firsts about my children. So I ended up ordering the exact same book for my second son. I love the illustrations and the story (written as though your child is telling the story about her/himself), and the book is perfect for a boy or girl. I bought this item for a friend. She absolutely loved it. There is a great deal of room available for family history and before pregnancy info. There was even space for pictures during the pregnancy and some pre-pregnancy photo space. The images in the book and written taglines are in keeping with the actual "Guess How Much I Love You" book. It comes highly recommended. My sister received quite a few baby books at her baby shower and found they were all too basic or didn't leave enough room for adding comments. This is perfect and totally gender neutral. I would suggest buying the little stuffed bunny and book as well! Enjoy!

I have to admit that I am a real lover of bunnies; however, this has to be the best baby book I have ever seen. This is a book that I would love to give as a gift to every mother to be that I know. Thank you.

All time favorite,

If you are like me, a parent who would find it hard to keep up with a baby book, this one is perfect. It asks all of those typical firsts (eating, talking, clapping, birthdays, etc). However it has only a few pages for pictures and not a lot for notes. It has places for notes, but not endless pages of it like in other books. I remember seeing empty pages in my own baby book and feeling sad about it as a kid. I had a super organized mom and it still wasn't filled. I am NOT a super organized mom and I find this book fun to complete. It is easy to keep up with during the new mom chaos, or the mom of newly born #2 or #3 when it is hard to focus on all of those firsts. It is well made, cute and pretty. I look forward to giving it to my girls when they are adults.

This is a nice Baby Book. Gives you plenty of room to write and also it has some extra space so you can tape some pictures throughout the book. Really cute design and pictures.
