I completely love Noma Bar's genius and style. He's so clever and these portraits are great - whether you just want to look at it and use it as a coffee table book to impress your guests, or to have it to use for reference for your own design work when you need some clever inspiration. Or both, which is what I use it for.

I think Noma Bar's work is a great place to look if you want to do clean, clever design. I really just wish I could get a hold of his OTHER book, which I have seen in the library but isn't available online for less than a fortune.

I found out about Noma Bar and immediately dug his work. Purchased this book thinking it'd be chockful of more of his memorable works that I could not find online but it wasn't. It has a lot of politicians, terrorists, old celebrities, out of date cultural icons, and not much else to offer. His illustrations are clever but do not display his creativie abilities. It's repetitive in both it's body copy ("the x object represents the nose" etc.) I wish I knew the book was not up to date with interesting people but it's the price I paid.

This book is worth one viewing via a rental but in my opinion better off passing. Still like Noma Bar but this book does not deliver.
