As Funny As Telecom Books Get...,

This review is from: Guess Who's Listening at the Other End of Your Telephone? (Hardcover)
Those of you who are not involved in the telecom industry may not have an appreciation for this book. However, as someone that has been involved in the telecom industry since 1992, I have to admit that I was fascinated with it.Barry Harrin's writing style is casual and humorous. The book essentially is his profesional autobiography, and covers his rise from the bottom rung of the telecommunications ladder at "Ma Bell" to becoming one of the top technical executives in his field. The book is very short, at around 120 pages. The chapters are only 2-3 pages apiece, and you will likely read the entire book in a single sitting. It certainly is a difficult one to put down. For those of you in the telecom industry looking for a good laugh, this book is a genuine treat. It's one of my personal favorites. |
