3.0 out of 5 stars What are you going to do?, September 10, 2007
This review is from: Guia Roji Mexico Tourist Road Atlas (Paperback)
I have looked at a lot of maps of mexico. None of them are great. Like the authors above state, there are gross inaccuracies, such as missing towns, towns not where they say they are, higways that don't look at all like what the map says, confusing junctions that aren't on the map, and aren't marked on the road with signage. One can't really trust 100% what one is looking at. I have seen this guide and declined buying it, because the included city maps are worthless generalities, and the state maps aren't much better. I purchased the Quimera guide which is a collection of generalities, that is a better graphic presentation, but in all, not a lot better. The best bet, IMO, is to buy the individual state maps by Guia Roji, and supplement them with the individual city maps that you need.
Then begin to pray.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointing, May 15, 2007
This review is from: Guia Roji Mexico Tourist Road Atlas (Paperback)
Twelve years ago I had this wonderful Mexico road atlas with primary, secondary, and trails marked out in great scale and easy to read! Loaned it to a co-worker and it was lost. Been elsewhere since. I thought this would be the replacement for an upcoming trip to Oaxaca but it's not for several reasons and I'll use examples. First, You wouldn't know from this product that it's Highway 15 intersecting with Highway 125 south of Juxtlahuaca. Second, you wouldn't know that there is a direct route from Santa Maria Huatulco to Pluma Hidalgo (Highway 178). Third, with its scale you better have the vision of a mole and someone else driving. Scan and expand the pages you need as general reference in your takealong folder and leave this Atlas behind.

5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive, but priceless, September 15, 2009
This review is from: Guia Roji Mexico Tourist Road Atlas (Paperback)
Guia Roji's Mexico Tourist Road Atlas is a bit hard to come by. I gather it is out of print. However, it seems to be recognized as the authoritative guide for US/Canadians driving in or through Mexico. There are a total of 38 maps. The balance of the book is an explanation of road signs in Mexico and tourist information (explanation of nature of hundreds of towns and cities - ~60 pages worth). While the purchase price seems high - I guess it is a bargain as it may save your life. Have a great trip!
