5.0 out of 5 stars My son loves this franchise
The books are a cute and whimsical addition to the Ugly Doll francise. My 9 year old son really enjoys the stories and laughs out loud to himself.

Added plus -- he'll read these on his own without prompting. He is sometimes a reluctant reader (even though he has excellent reading skills). These are definitely fun enough to keep his attention.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a very attracting book
I bought this book because I liked the graphics, but when I actually start to read, I find it quite "contentless". They only made it to give you loads of drawings without telling you a story. However, if graphics is what you are looking for, you can find all the ugly dolls inside.

5.0 out of 5 stars Uglydoll Must Have, May 3, 2009
This review is from: The Ugly Guide to Being Alive and Staying That Way (Uglydolls) (Paperback)
This, like all Uglydoll guides is a must have for Uglydoll fans. Another wonderful job of illustrations, creativity and ugly information. Remember these are guides so the plot is information and fun. If you want a story with plot from beginning to end, check out David Horvath's other books - Bossy Bear, Just Like Bossy Bear and Chilly Chilly Ice Bat. This is one Uglydoll reference book that is a must have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny and well-written, March 5, 2009

I had never heard of the "ugly doll" my daughter wanted for her birthday...I searched Amazon and found a doll and this book. It is very funny and my favorite was the message behind these dolls...that you should be proud of who you are and love yourself "as is". My daughter read the book from front to back on the day I gave it to her so I KNOW she would recommend it!
