The organization can be slightly counterintuitive: all Luger variants are found together, which is sensible, while all military issue M1911 and M1911A1 models are filed under "Colt" regardless of manufacturer, which to me seems slightly less sensible: I would have broken out military 1911s into their own chapter.
Now for the good: with each entry there is a full color picture of the gun. There is a capsule description, and then values broken down by condition. For each condition, the book list dealer to consumer (d2c), private party (c2c) and trade in/dealer buy values. I'm not particularly knowledgeable about values outside my areas of interest, but the ones for things I do know seem pretty reasonable.
All in all, it's a nice, pretty book for the handgun collector or for someone who wants an overview of the handgun world. It isn't comprehensive, and it's not for the specialist, but it is a start for a beginning collector and the price is right given the high quality photos and paper, despite the odd omission and occasionally peculiar organization.
