A Handbook and Discourses, August 28, 2004
This review is from: A Guide to the Buddhist Path (Paperback)
Sangharakshita was founder of Friends of the West Buddhist Order, one of the first and more popular western Buddhist orders, and a prolific author. This text offers fluid explanations on many of the core aspects of Buddhism and is written in a approachable manner. It is not an encyclopedia but more like Dharma discussions.
The sections of Part I include an Introduction, The Buddha, The Dharma, The Sangha; Part II covers Morality, Meditation, Wisdom; Then Appendices. Each subsection has around six tertiary articles.
This was a required text from a college class. I go back to it once in a while because it a refresher on the basics but keeps a heartfelt approach.
