Poor, no real experience with Connecticut,
By Deer Boyle (Madison, CT) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Guide to the Connecticut Shore, 3rd (Guide to Series) (Paperback)
The author claims to be a life-long resident of CT. Wrong! She lived in L.A. while searching for a husband. To write about life in Connecticut is very strange for someone who grew up in Greenfield Hill (Ffld.) and got a free education at Fairfield University. The author never spent a single moment actually going to the locations mentioned. She collected marketing information from each attraction and just did some editing. It's sad. Connecticut deserves better than to have promotional hype dribbled by the writer of childrens books. The author should stick with what she does best, make up fantasy stories for the little ones. You are better off buying the AAA Motor Club Travel Guide than to waste your money on this lemon in it's third re-write. Save a tree, don't waste your money. Visit Connecticut and experience it's treasures on your own.

Poor Quality,
By A Customer
This review is from: Guide to the Connecticut Shore (Paperback)
I did not find this guide very helpful. The binding was of poor quality and the book fell apart after only a few days of use - travel guides should be durable to last at least a week long vacation. The information was not all that useful either.
