Great reference, if you don't agree - prove him wrong!, November 9, 1999
This review is from: Guide to Cults and New Religions (Paperback)
This is a tremendous reference book for a quick, solid overview of cults, which is to say, "any religious movement that is organizationally distinct and has doctrines and/or practices that contradict those of the Scriptures as interpreted by traditional Christianity as represented by the major Catholic and Protestant demoninations, and as expressed in such statements as the Apostles' Creed." (James W. Sire, from this book).
I have used this book on many occassions to quickly review why a cult's beliefs differ from my own. I strongly recommend it to anyone.
Furthermore, I strongly recommend it to anyone who might disagree with the traditional Christian viewpoint. Enroth enables you to identify the specific areas where your religion differs from traditional Christianity and therefore provides you an opportunity to determine your true belief in those areas - and encourages you to research for additional information if needed.
