About the Author

George R. Jarrell is Professor Emeritus of Rehabilitation Counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Va. Since 1971, he has served as a Vocational Expert in the Bureau of Hearings and Appeals, Social Security Administration. He received the Master of Rehabilitation Counseling degree from the Universirty of Florida in 1961 and The Doctor of Philosophy from the University of South Carolina in 1970. Dr. Jarrell has conducted many in-service educational workshops for the legal profession on adjudicating disability.
