This review is from: Guide to Electronic Music (Hardcover)
More about A Guide to Electronic Music from The Antiquarian ResourceThe book is written by Paul Griffiths. It is indexed, has a list of recordings, a glossary and bibliography. The hardback was published by Thames and Hudson, Great Britain, 1979. (There is also a paperback.) Here is a quote from the dust jacket: "Offering a balanced survey of music created with and for electronic means of production, this book covers everything from experiments early in the century ... Using readable, non-technical language Griffiths provides an approach to some of the most exciting music of our time, elucidate the background, and suggest some criteria for judgment. ..." My husband is the electronic music musician of the family and the one who studied this book. He called it "five stars" so that is what I added. The above is all the information I can offer at this time. The Antiquarian Resource |
